Joshua Cohen is the Co-CEO of GIANT Innovation and is responsible for their European practice. Since co-founding GIANT in 2015, he has leveraged his years of experience as a startup founder, investor, and adviser to help leading global organizations create more nimble and entrepreneurial cultures.

Joshua has deep roots in technology-intensive sectors. He founded and built multiple startups in both Europe and the U.S., including Germany-based iPharro, a spinoff of Germany’s world-renowned Fraunhofer Organization (acquired by ivitec in 2016]. He is the former Co-head of US investments for SevenVentures, the venture capital division of one of Germany’s largest media companies.

With a passion for education he has taught and / or held adjunct professor positions at a variety of top global universities like ESMT Berlin, New York University, and Woosong University in Korea. His thought leadership and expertise have been featured in leading European media outlets including ZDF, ARD, and a variety of other news publications. He is a graduate of Princeton University with an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business and additional studies at the University of Cologne.

He is the co-author of Innovation Unlock: How to Unleash Your Organization’s Innovative Potential (Columbia University Press) which will be released in 2024.
